Found that this school has some pros and cons

Let’s talk about the Pros first

Pros

1) Cheaper than many schools out there that charges >1k for childcare. My school seems to charge somewhat between SGD$500-$700 for Singaporean students
2) Many activities like going to Changi airport for some fun, botanical gardens etc…

Cons

1) Imagine a school that can’t even handle something simple as GIRO application? Takes more than 5 months and still no approval and i have to send in the giro application again myself 2nd time. No explanation why the GIRO didn’t go thru. Heard some other parent in school also had the same problem with 3 months of waiting for successful GIRO deduction being normal….
2) Suspected corner-cutting like “recommending” parents to bath/shower their own kids at home instead of the teachers doing it in school as young toddlers at 18 months are much more fragile and needed greater attention to avoid catching cold and a bath/shower at home is better than in school in this case. Took us a few months of recommendation to ask the school to help our son shower since he still catch cold anyway with shower or not. Other suspected corner-cutting acts like “recommending” parents to avoid bringing non-participatory students to school if they are not participating in the yearly performance for the student’s parents/families to watch and cos the school is busy?
3) Communication breakdown within the teachers in school for a “recommendation”. Asked by a teacher to come earlier to school to fetch my son at 5pm since he’s not participating in an event he didn’t manage to sign up in time as he came into the school afterwards. Then the next day another teacher “recommend” didn’t even need to come to school at all since he’s not participating but since he’s there already then pls come earlier like 3.30pm to fetch. Afterwards when i confronted them, they claim that they already informed my MIL earlier and that they didn’t tell me hence the miscommunication?? But then they the teachers also have a different interpretation of “recommendation” for my son in the first place.
