Young learners

These books are perfect learning tools for young children. They range from more academic topics such as shapes, colours, animals, alphabets, time and numbers, to lessons about values and appropriate social behaviour. Academic topics are integral to a young child’s cognitive development, and sets the stage for various concepts. For example, learning about shapes and colours sets a basic foundation for math concepts from sorting and patterning to geometry, and beyond. Moreover, these books aren’t just for kids, they are great tools for us as parents too. A good story book can be one of our best allies in parenting. They can help us teach our children how to handle experiences that are unfamiliar and new and how they should interact with others, partially shaping our children’s character in the process. Good books also allow our children to hear messages from someone else, so they don’t feel like they are constantly hearing reprimands from us.
